Christmas Tag!

Saturday 2 December 2017

It's been a while since I did a tag post and since Christmas is my favourite time of year I thought it would be perfect for me to answer some Christmassy questions. I won't be tagging anyone because a lot of my friends are doing Blogmas so I know they're busy, but please share your answers in the comments if you can't do the whole tag.

Onto the questions!
1. What is your favourite Christmas film?

Ultimate favourite is The Muppets Christmas Carol because it's been a Christmas Eve tradition for as long as I can remember.

2. Have you ever had a White Christmas?

I've had quite a few White Christmas' over the years but the last one I can clearly remember was 2012/2013 and I vividly remember throwing snowballs for my dog and him having the best time.

3. Where do you usually spend your holiday?

At home with my family. Sometimes I go to my Auntie's house but she only lives around the corner so it's always a cozy Christmas.

4. What is your favourite Christmas song?

Baby It's Cold Outside by Tome Jones and Cerys Matthews and also Shake Up Christmas by Train are two of a very long list of favourites.

5. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

The tradition in my house (and I'm sure many others) is the opening of Christmas pyjamas. Nothing feels more Christmassy to me then going to bed on Christmas Eve with new pyjamas.

6. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?

Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen + Rudolph - I've never forgotten the rhyme from school.

7. What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?

Watching The Muppets Christmas Carol with my family, going to Skipton at Christmas and just having a cozy day.

8. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

Fake, but once I get my own place I'll be getting real trees!

9. What is your all-time favourite holiday food/sweet treat?

Pass me the Quality Street.

10. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?

Giving gifts hands down. I'm totally obsessed with buying and wrapping presents. I'll spend hours on presentation and seeing peoples reactions is my favourite thing.

11. What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?

Probably mine and my sisters Playstation 2 back in the day, it came with a copy of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It was the first console I ever got and it set me on a long path of gaming.

12. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

Norway! It was meant to be happening this year but hopefully next year instead.

13. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?

Pro! I love wrapping and I wrap presents for my whole family, the only things I don't wrap in my house are the gifts that are for me.

14. Most memorable Holiday moment?

Something that always sticks in my mind is when my dad gave me a box with holes punched in the top, this was before I had a dog and I wanted one so bad so I was convinced I was getting a puppy... But no. It was a toy snake in some tissue paper -of all the things. (I don't even like snakes, I think he was just being random/mean).

15. What made you realise the truth about Santa?

Some kids in school told me the truth on one of the last days before school ended for the holidays. I remember we all had our Game Boy Colours and someone said they wanted their own Game Boy off Santa, spurring other children to laugh and say 'you know he isn't real, right?'. I stayed very quiet even though I was distraught.

16. Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?

I do and some of them get broken by the end of January (gym, diet) but I stuck to my resolution of keeping up a blog for a year so I'm not a total failure!

17. What makes the holidays special for you?

Getting to spend time with my family and celebrating the good times while ignoring the stresses of outside life.

That is my Christmas tag! If you do this tag let me know! And if there are any other questions you'd like to ask, leave a comment and I'll do a little Q&A :)

See you tomorrow and thanks for reading!

  1. Really fun post! My favourite Christmas film is Miracle on 34th Street, but I agree on Baby It's Cold Outside (3rd on my Top 3 atm, and I like Michael Buble/Idina Menzel). Quality Street are def not my faves though, I don't think I like anything less 🙈🙈

    1. I know I’m in the minority with Quality Street, I actually probably prefer miniature heroes but my grandma was convinced Quality Street was my favourite and always got me it, now she’s gone I still get them for myself 🙈 xxxxx
