Rachel Amphlett Q&A - Blog Tour

Tuesday 4 April 2017

Publication Day!

Today is my turn on the Will To Live blog tour and I have the pleasure of hosting Rachel Amphlett on her publication day. If you haven't ordered this book already you can get it on Amazon by clicking this link.

+ So, your book is being published!

Woo hoo!!

+ How do you spend publication day eve and the actual day? What do you do the night before?

I check all the books are ready to go, deal with any last-minute emails, and set my alarm nice and early for the next day – although I’m usually too excited to sleep.

+ The morning?

Because I’m ten hours ahead of most of my reader and blogging friends, publication day for me is often the calm before the storm. Things really ramp up over the course of the evening and into the next morning – when I released Scared to Death, I was up at 5 AM so I could attend a Facebook page takeover and then an author Q&A session some kindly bloggers had set up for me – I was desperate for a second up of coffee by the end of it!

+ Who are you with?

I still work part-time, so I take a few days off to launch each book. The other half goes to work at 6:30 AM so it’s just me and Floyd, our dog.

+ Where do you go?

I tend to gravitate between the computer and the kettle!

+ What do you spend the day doing?

I'll attend all social media group functions such as Facebook takeovers, also Q&A sessions, all keep on top of emails from readers and bloggers alike. I share the new social media posts that mention the new release, for which I'm always grateful.

I think if readers and bloggers really knew the difference their hard work and enthusiasm makes, they’d be blown away!

+ Is publication day 1 the same as publication day 2? And so on?

Pretty much these days. I try to stay organised because if I don’t, things can get stressful. I work long days, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

+Do you have any rituals?

Not really. Often in between the above I’m working on the next book!
